World Stroke Day
My husband Rick had 2 strokes in June 2018. Neither myself nor his medical team knew Rick had experienced a stroke until they viewed the scans after he suffered a brain bleed–a complication of cancer. The stroke occurred in his frontal and occipital lobes, affecting his memory, emotions, and peripheral vision in both eyes. He was at Sister Kinney for many weeks, relearning how to walk, eat, remember, and do all the things most of us take for granted. He has come a long way over the years, but there are still things that are amiss. Please, take this information to heart.
